Reality Satan is the master of delusion. He wants us to live in a fantasy world that he wants to create. If we are to have spiritual growth and healing, we must face reality. The art of delusion is Satan’s way, but grounding people in reality is the way of God. Satan’s most powerful weapon against mankind is delusion. In this way he can work on our minds and we will never even know what he is doing. By sending delusions, he can build strongholds that we don’t even know he has on us. Life can only be lived to the fullness and in a way that brings us deep satisfaction when we are able to see things as they really are. Those who live in fantasy worlds of their own making, or of the devil’s making, do not cope well in the real world. They cannot cope well in the spiritual world either, because they do not have the mental tools to interact lovingly and intelligently. If we are to grow and become closer to Jesus, we must live in the real world. Surrender To surrender means not to be protective of others. It’s to let our loved ones face their own reality, the consequences of their own decisions. To surrender means to stop trying to control others. It’s to use my energy to become what I dream I can be. To surrender is not to regret the past. It’s to grow and live for the future. To surrender is to stop denying. It’s to become more accepting of reality. To surrender does not mean to stop caring. It means I can’t do it for someone else. To surrender means I cannot enable any longer. It means I have to allow others to feel their own consequences. To surrender means to stop being in the middle of arranging events. It’s to allow others to impact their happenings. Surrender to Jesus and allow Him to heal your hurts. Surrender means acute awareness and acceptance of reality – the acceptance that, this is the way it truly is. Once we have surrendered, we make new choices with the help of the Holy Spirit.
