Prayer for our Nation

A Call to Repent

Lord you created the heavens and the earth. You blessed us with a free country to worship You in. But in our pride and selfishness, we have neglected You and have forgotten that without You we are nothing. We humble ourselves and confess our sins to You. We plead with You to forgive us and restore us and our country. Help our leaders to recognize You as their God and leader of our country. Without You we are doomed. We come against the powers and principalities that have taken over our country in the Name and power of Jesus Christ. And we declare we and our country are set free by the power of Jesus. For we are healed by Your stripes. Save our country for Your name’s sake Lord. Show us and other nations Your mighty power as You rescue us from ourselves and our enemies. We need You Lord. Our country needs You. Bend low, Lord, hear our cry and open our eyes and our hearts to Your desire for us individually and for our country. Help our nation be a watchtower to the nations, that they may know You alone are God and able to do great things through such weak, undeserving people when they humble themselves and commit to You.

We love you Lord and ask your forgiveness and mercy on us. Teach us Your ways in everything we do.

Government – leaders and judges (need wisdom)
Churches – unity and boldness to proclaim God’s Word
Military – protection and guidance, and chaplains and loved ones at home
Family – that we will follow Godly principles
Education – safe and sound instructions and a wholesome environment
Media – that the truth and morality be presented
Businesses – raise up ambassadors in the workplace
Religious Freedom – all around the world
