Apostles Creed – The Door

Posted on Posted in Apostles Creed

“Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends. Those who are victorious will sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne.” Revelation 3:20-21

I believe that Jesus Christ is the Door to the Kingdom of God. This Kingdom is both on earth and in Heaven. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we enter His Kingdom here on earth, then at death we enter His Kingdom in Heaven and live with Him for all eternity. “Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved. They will come and go freely and will find good pastures.” (John 10:9) The door to a house is the first point of contact with that house. It is the way that you enter a house. Jesus is our first point of contact with the Kingdom of God. Many people are looking for peace and rest but they are at the wrong door. This door accepts anyone. Whatever your past, present, or future. Whatever your situation, no matter your age, your experience, it does not matter. This door is open for all that wants to walk through the door. There is no other way to enter the Kingdom of God except by Jesus Christ, the door.

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30)
