Apostles Creed – The Son of God

Posted on Posted in Apostles Creed

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.” Matthew 7:24

I started writing on the Apostle’s Creed because I see a world that is falling apart. I see a world that has no foundation. The church is not teaching people what they need to build their foundation on. In a Bible Study the other night, I mentioned the Apostle’s Creed and most of the younger people did not even know what I was talking about. To me this is sad, we have lost our young people because we have stopped teaching the basic. The Apostle’s Creed is not perfect because it was put together by humans, but it does give us a place to start getting a better foundation on what we believe. All of the Apostle’s Creed is taken from scripture.

“Through the tender mercy of our God, With which the Dayspring from on high has visited us; To give light to those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, To guide our feet into the way of peace.” (Luke 1:78-79) This Dayspring is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. God sent His Son to earth to give us His light. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. I believe that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born of a virgin. I have been asked why I believe this. I believe this not just because it is written in the Bible; I do believe that the Bible is the Word of God. I believe this because Jesus is with me every day. He walks with me and He talks to me. He gives me the strength to get up each morning and carry on His work. If we are going to make it in this world, we must know what we believe.
