“Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the man he had made. The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.” Genesis 2:8-9
This was God’s plan for His creation. He wanted someone that He could have fellowship with and in the garden He would walk with Adam and talk with Adam. He loved His creation and wanted the best for His creation. Just as today, God wants the best for us. He wants to give us good gifts. Just as He planted the trees in the garden so that man would have all the food that he needed. God wants to meet our needs today. He wants us to trust Him with all of our heart.
In the Garden
“I come to the garden alone, while the dew is still on the roses, and the voice I hear falling on my ear The Son of God discloses. And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own; and the joy we share as we tarry there, None other has ever known. He speaks, and the sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing, and the melody that He gave to me within my heart is ringing. I’d stay in the garden with Him, though the night around me be falling, But He bids me go; through the voice of woe His voice to me is calling.” This is what it was like as Adam walked with God in the Garden. We can have the same experience if we will only give our lives to Jesus and walk with God.
